This year’s social engagement of our doctoral students and thus a combination of LAFMAAL Academics and social engagement – locally as well as internationally – led to actions for orphans in Duokro/Côte d’Ivoire, Yopougon/Côte d’Ivoire as well as Antananarivo/Madagascar and for severely socially disadvantaged children in Windhoek/Namibia at Christmas 2022. A dedicated team of doctoral students led the two local outreaches in Duokro and Yopougon. This year, LAFMAAL was supported for one month over the turn of the year by a German volunteer who, in addition to her work in the environmental sector, also enriched this year’s Christmas campaign in Duokro.
