January 22nd-24th 2021 marked the beginning of the 10-month mentoring programme and the first cooperation of its kind between the LAFMAAL Foundation and Femtec Alumnae. In 12 tandems, 12 participating mentees (female PhD candidates (LAFMAAL) from different African countries) and 12 mentors (career women (Femtec) from Germany in the fields of STEM) will meet on a monthly basis. The successful kick off weekend was attended by all participating members of LAFMAAL and Femtec Alumnae as well as some members LAFMAAL Foundation’s board of directors and the AG ImpAct group (a work group that is part of Femtec Alumnae).
